The Aminoff Prize for research at high pressures

The Gregori Aminoff prize for 2005 is awarded to Dr Ho-Kwang Mao, Geophysical Laboratory, Washington DC, USA, 'for his pioneering research of solid materials at ultrahigh pressure and temperatures'. The prize was presented at the Academy in Stockholm on June 8, 2005. A two-day Symposium was organized June 9-10 to the honor of Dave Mao. The symposium was supported by the Academy through its Nobel Institute for Chemistry. Please check the Press Release of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
